This year's annual conference, themed "Green, Intelligent, Collaborative and Empowering", brought together representatives from shipbuilding enterprises, design institutes, supporting enterprises and universities within the province to jointly explore the transformation and development path of the shipbuilding industry under the new situation.
At the meeting, Li Zhiguo, the vice president of Hunan Vocational University of Automotive Engineering, delivered a welcoming speech. Wang Yong, the president of Hunan Shipbuilding Industry Association, and Qiu Jun, the Party secretary of Hunan Xiangchuan Heavy Industry Co., LTD., also made remarks. The meeting focused on in-depth discussions about policy guidance and cutting-edge technologies. The relevant person in charge of the Equipment Industry Division II of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hunan Province emphasized in his speech the policy direction of promoting the high-end, intelligent and green development of the shipbuilding industry.
Experts from the Wuhan Branch of China Classification Society, the 9th Design and Research Institute of CSSC, Wuhan University of Technology and other units respectively provided in-depth interpretations and outlooks on the green, low-carbon and intelligent development of ships from the perspectives of industry norms, shipyard design and technical paths. During the technical exchange session, representatives from Hunan Changyi Pump Industry Co., Ltd. and other enterprises focused on the practical challenges such as high energy consumption and high maintenance costs faced by dredgers, engineering vessels and other ships in actual operation, and proposed a full-system solution covering pump selection, pump design, pump materials and operation and maintenance.
Integration of industry and education, focusing on innovation. During the conference, Hunan Vocational University of Automotive Engineering held a ceremony to present plaques for school-enterprise cooperation with several enterprises. The representatives attending the conference visited the school's training bases on the spot and discussed topics such as collaborative education and joint technological breakthroughs, aiming to lay a solid foundation of talents and technology for the sustainable development of the industry.
At the end of the meeting, Gao Zhengbing, the secretary-general of the association, stated that they would take this annual meeting as an opportunity to further enhance technical exchanges and cooperation within the industry and promote the shipbuilding industry in Hunan Province to take solid steps on the path of green and intelligent transformation.
